Emily

Emily is turning into such a big girl.  She is 27 months.  Her language has just exploded in the last few months.  She now says 4-5 word sentences and loves to read her books.  However, she is so shy that she will barely utter a word to other people.  She is a great little helper and likes to mimic Mom all the time.
She got this baby doll for her birthday (from Annie) and likes to pretend to feed her.  She calls the baby Annie.  Here the baby is sitting in Emily's booster seat to eat, but right after this she pretended to feed her just like Mom feeds Annie.  It was pretty funny.
While we were on vacation Emily got to play on one of these Little Tikes slides at my friends' house and at my aunt's house.  She LOVED it.  So I searched Craigslist and KSL until I found one.  I got this for $35!!!  She plays on it nearly everyday.  I love it because Emily is quite clumsy and this keeps me from having a heart attack.
Emily loves to wear her sunglasses...even while eating dinner.
Emily loves to help.  She is helping me bring in the groceries.
Emily loves to go swimming.  She calls her swimsuit a "swim-swim."  She always wants to go swimming.  We love to go to the splash pad and to my sister's house (she has an above ground pool).  We just bought her some floaties and she is thrilled.  She thinks she can swim now.  We went swimming at a hotel pool this week and all she wanted to do was jump in and not let us catch her.  Trevor would have to wait until after she jumped to go rescue her.  She kept saying, "No, no.  I'm jumping."  Swimming lessons are a must next summer.
